ABOUT ME

Family
 

Zul is married and has three children. Two of his children graduated with HR/Business Degrees from Camosun college and are now married. His third child is currently studying Business at the University of Victoria.
 

Education
 

Zul went to School in Kenya and moved to Dublin, Ireland in 1978 to finish High School. On completing high school, he went to a technical college where he studied Electronics/Telecommunications Technology.

Zul immigrated to Canada in 1993 and upgraded his skills. He graduated from BCIT as a Telecommunications  and Electronics Technologist.

Work Experience

​

On completion, he moved to Victoria, B.C. to work for the Municipal Government (City of Victoria) maintaining the Radio Systems for Police, Fire and Public Works.

 After the city privatized the System, Zul was made redundant and upgraded his skills at Royal Roads University.

 He then joined the Provincial Government in Emergency Management BC (PEP) as a Telecommunications Officer.

Zul then moved to Vancouver to work for the RCMP as a Civilian Member (IT Supervisor) until he retired in 2016.

 Zul has worked for all levels of Government and has vast experience in creating consensus with Councils, Ministries and Local Governments.
 

 He has been on several committees in all levels of government.
